Tricity – Gdańsk, Sopot, Gdynia, Hel

Sightseeing flights in the Tricity area are organized from the “Heliport Gdansk” landing site (ul. Dokowa 1, 80-863 Gdansk) – Stocznia Cesarska.

To carry out sightseeing flights according to the general price lists (below) it may be necessary to gather an appropriate number of people on the date set by Helipoland. In the absence of an organized group on a given date, an additional fee may apply for individual organization of flights.

Due to local regulations for performing flights over cities and the proximity of the international airport zone “Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport“, sightseeing flights over the Tri-City take place along the routes and at altitudes chosen by the helicopter pilot (these routes may differ from the routes marked on the maps below depending on current air traffic control approvals and weather conditions).

It is possible to choose a different helicopter take-off and landing location than the Gdansk Doki landing site, where, in addition to the costs associated with the helicopter’s arrival at the indicated location, additional fees for using the landing site may be charged. Arrival at an individually agreed take-off/landing location is additionally payable in accordance with the helicopter flight time price lists below, where the time needed to start and stop the helicopter twice (approx. 10 minutes) is counted as flight time. For example – an ordered helicopter arrival for a sightseeing flight directly from the marina in Gdynia “Marina Yacht Park Gdynia” (Antoniego Hryniewickiego, 81-340 Gdynia) means that an additional 15 minutes of flight to this landing site must be paid for, assuming that the helicopter is currently stationed at the Gdansk Doki hotel landing site.

Flights over the Baltic Sea – when can I take a sightseeing flight?

Sightseeing flights in the Gulf of Gdansk are organized by Helipoland after gathering the appropriate number of volunteers, within the framework of the current helicopter and pilot disposition at the “Gdansk Doki” landing site (with the possibility of moving the helicopter to another location in the Gulf of Gdansk) and in appropriate weather conditions. Flights performed on individual helicopter orders (at any time indicated by the client) are carried out on the basis of prices given below according to the helicopter type and flight time, taking into account the possible cost of arrival in the absence of a current helicopter and pilot disposition in the Tri-City. Confirmation of the current helicopter and pilot disposition in the Tri-City is possible on an ongoing basis a few days in advance. Confirmation of appropriate weather conditions, and therefore final confirmation of the flight, is possible no more than 3 days in advance.

Helicopter flight costs Airbus AS350 (up to 5 passengers on board) or Airbus EC130 (up to 6 passengers on board) covering all passenger seats together are as follows:

  • 600 EUR for a standard flight on the route Gdańsk – Sopot – Gdańsk OR Gdańsk – Martwa Wisła – Gdańsk
(lasting about 15 minutes* – flight along a route determined by the pilot in consultation with air traffic control***)

AS350 or EC130 helicopters are faster than R 44 helicopters, which allows you to cover greater distances in the purchased time option, so within an hour you can not only fly to the Hel region but also make a sightseeing flight, e.g. in the Wladyslawowo region or in the Vistula estuary. The availability of this type of helicopter is limited and usually involves the cost of the helicopter’s flight to the landing site (usually not less than EUR 2,400 additional fee).

* Flight time: according to international standards, it is the time from the moment the rotor blades begin to rotate until the moment the helicopter finally comes to a stop after flight and the rotor blades come to a stop.

** Note: in order to perform flights on agreed dates, in addition to the appropriate meteorological conditions, it is necessary to have the appropriate instruction of the pilot dedicated to the flight and the appropriate technical condition of the helicopter, which is verified in detail before each flying day or additionally before the flight. Helipoland is not responsible for keeping the agreed flight date, especially due to inadequate / uncertain weather conditions, pilot incapacitation or helicopter malfunction.

*** Note: as a result of instructions received by the pilot from the air traffic control services, it may be necessary for the helicopter to wait for a landing in the air or fly in a direction other than the one initially assumed, this time is included in the total flight time of the helicopter and may result in shortening one of the standard routes chosen by the passengers.
